  1. A hand holding an eSteps insole above an open trainer.

Lift out the liner that came with the shoe and drop the insole in its place. Both feet, once.

  2. Two people walking along a street, seen from the knees down.

It wakes when you move and sleeps when you stop. Nothing to start, nothing to remember, about two weeks between charges.

  3. Someone outdoors checking their walking summary in the eSteps app.

Open the app and the day is already there, with every walk test you have taken.

What you are buying

It is not a step counter.

A fitness tracker counts the walking you did. This one is interested in what the walking looked like, which is the part that changes first.

Where it comes from

This came out of a lab, not a gadget shop.

The academic root is why the insole measures what it measures, and why the record below is published rather than claimed.

Where it started
Spun out of the RECORD biomechanics lab at the University of Bologna. The insole exists because a lab needed data a clinic visit could not give it.
Cleared to be worn
The sensor module is CE-marked in the EU and FDA-registered in the US for gait monitoring.
Studied on people
Approved by the Bologna Bioethics Committee (C.d.A. 1778/2020) and run in a multiple sclerosis pilot at Sant’Orsola.
Your data
GDPR-ready architecture and a HIPAA-compatible pipeline. Nothing leaves your phone until you choose to send it.

EU 36 to 46. It replaces the liner already in the shoe, so if a liner comes out, this goes in.

It is a cushioned insole first. The sensor sits flat under the arch, where your foot does not press.

A pair. Both feet, because the thing worth knowing is the difference between them.

You have thirty days from delivery to return it or exchange it for another size.

Only if you send it. Nothing leaves your phone until you choose to share it.

The eSteps insoles laid out beside the box they arrive in and a phone running the app.

Ready when you are.

Free with any pair of insoles. Nothing to set up beyond putting them in your shoes.
