About us

Mission

eSteps wants to be the reference point

  • For chronic neurodegenerative patients, in the daily management of their condition
  • For doctors, in monitoring the progression and diagnosis of the disease.

Values

Through our system we want to allow the personalization of medical therapies and the prevention of complications  the patient may develop in the course of the disease.

For us, the patient’s psychological and physical health must come first in the disease management process.

Vision

We face every challenge with seriousness and professionalism but never forget to give importance to innovation and creativity.
The data collected is the story that allows us to move forward to increase knowledge and improve the result.
We believe in a systematic but dynamic approach to understand and perceive the needs of our users, always motivating and supporting them.

The startup

HISTORY

eSteps was born out of a university research project developed by Nidhal. The objective of the research was to develop a walking monitoring and injury prediction system based on the use of Clean Tech/Energy Harvesting. Initially, the research was directed towards the design in the sports field, then the curiosity and interest in neurogenerative diseases have allowed a change of direction of the project, pushing it to find an answer in the health field.

"Exploring this direction we got in touch with the patients' association 'Io vivo con la sclerosi multipla' (I live with multiple sclerosis).  This was the event that turned our startup around."
Nidhal Louhichi
CEO

This gave rise to a greater motivational drive to try to simply manage the disease and understand how to improve the quality of life for people with multiple sclerosis (MS).

By participating in area events we came into contact with specialists who supported our innovation, leading us to initiate clinical trials with the hospitals where they work
